Guest xPRESENTxSCHOOLx
"PRESENT SCHOOL MYSPACE The song is under the working title Keep Your Distance, I'm guitars to it right now. I want some honest constructive criticism to help evolve this track. I used to post on this board by the name Boobytron Inc. along time ago, but I'm not planning on taking a break from teh intranets for a while again. So I hope to be posting on here a lot more and communicating with the hilarious like minded mutha funkaz on this board. BCM
yeah mate, it's nice, but it was a little slow going for me and i did find it getting slightly boring after a couple of minutes - maybe some more changes in the beat and bassline could help. I think the pads and bassline are also drowning out the beat slightly which could be a lot more up front in the mix and needs punchier hits to get my head nodding and keep my ears excited. so yeah, more changes and variety in the bassline and the beat and a better, punchier mix and i think you'll be onto a winner. Guest xPRESENTxSCHOOLx
I definitely understand your opinions. I agree that by itself its not really ultra exciting, for a stand alone electronic track. I added guitars last night and they made it quite a bit more interesting plus I'm adding vocals today. So I'm not sure if in the end after vocals are on there that making it more complex would help. I could tell the drums were not in the mix correctly, but your motivating me to actually spend some good time getting the drums mixed well. I intended this to be a more laid back trip hop track but its kinda fast and its got some energy so I probably should make the drums less laid back. Thanks for listening and responding. More opinions right now would be tits and clit because I want to finish it by tonight. goffer
Nice track... it's very clean. im used to rugged drums when hip hop and electronic music intertwine. Im diggin that bassline. Good luck with the guitar and vocs.
