only 100 copies of each 12" are being released ... apparently he'll be doing five over the course of the year. i signed up for the database a while ago, i'm not sure if you can still sign on, but probably. they cost $45 after shipping, which is a bit steep, but surely worth it. the first 12" will be sent out sometime this week (i managed to order two!)

you can sign on for future releases though, i'm pretty sure

it's definitely very detroit/electro-ish ... i really can't place it. possibly mr atkins, certainly. i don't know why jason is being all secretive about the artists; i guess the obsession with skam?

also i have this overwhelming urge to change the discogs entry so that RUR is a sublabel of Ai ... but then he had said (on the website or in an email, i forget) that he wanted to be separate from Ai ... but, how could it be really

did you also not get the email until this afternoon? the email is telling me that it was sent on thursday, but it didn't show up in my mailbox until an hour ago ...

and yeah the price is steep, but not any higher than the limited/colored vinyl released by Ai in the past; also the music has been great (at least so far). and yeah it is, of course, very collectible

i got this ordered as well. the coming one should be yellow for spring, though i'm not quite sure why yellow is for spring and green is for summer, but maybe thats some English logic i don't understand. wow thats scary...$44 and i didn't even hesitate when i got the message.

lol, i bought two copies of RUR #1 without even hesitating ... and i'm seriously broke right now

but yeah, i also received a confirmation email for #2; exciting stuff

damn, this is even better than #1 ... though apparently one (or both) of the tracks were previously released, on a 12" from 1992? this is what people are saying on discogs, though i guess jason said in a mailout that they were previously released (i don't remember seeing this) ... i don't know my detroit techno well enough to say anything either way. the tracks are awesome though

...like you would admit that you have spent very very very much money on shitty release

, ..anyhoo.. rur01 was quite alright

sigh ... why are you in a perpetually bad mood?

both rur01 and rur02 are very good. i've spent lots of money on things i haven't liked, and have no problem admitting that i'd wasted my money; but i haven't wasted my money in this case. and even if the future installments aren't as good, i could always just resell them

okay, now looking back at the mailouts:
