Hello,

 

I want to give my tracks some gentle compression and bring up the overall volume to it's maximum

 

I have T-racks but I'm a bit confused:

 

what's the difference between the Compressor and a Soft-clipping stage? and is it best to use T-racks in an audio editor (peak for example) or in a sequencer (ableton)
