Because like the kakapo I have infrequent breeding habits, having sex about once every 10 years, quite often with a bunch of New Zealand biologists standing by transfixed. I'm also nocturnal, and I can't fly. Sometimes I can be found making a strange, echoing and mournful booming sound. I have difficulty adapting to the pace of modern life, and often respond to predators by standing motionless and hoping they go away.
