I bet it will suck.

I actually think you've got a point here. Most long-awaited albums these days seem to real disappointments.

Crosses fingers for CVJ.

Fantastic news, been waiting a long time for this.

His recent remixes have been great, so hopefully he's continued the good form over into his album.

His newsletter said that the wait has been furthered by his inabilty to capture the sound he had in his head for the album, in the studio. However, he cracked it and it was all systems go.

Good news, as he probably could've released a sub-standard effort if he'd wanted to, so I for one am glad that he put the release on the backburner until he felt he'd done the material justice.

That is all for now.

hello,

thanks for still subscribing to the mailing list or reading this on the myspace page - apologies for the everlasting silence throughout the last half year.

i had a very precise idea about what the third album was supposed to sound like - while this usually is a good thing it became increasingly difficult to re-create that sound in the studio - however, in the last couple of months i finally had a bit of a breakthrough situation and am now really happy with the way it all sounds.

please see below for a couple of updates - thanks for your support, ulrich.

ALBUM 3

ulrich´s third album "goodbye" has been mastered last week and will be released in the next 3-4 months on independiente (europe) and domino (us).

also i forgot to mention; he played a bunch of these new tracks live last year, and i asked him afterwards if they would be on the third album; he said yes. these tracks were the best thing i'd ever heard by him; more shoegaze-ish than electronic music-ish, but still very very very good

"more shoegaze-ish than electronic music-ish" WTF! THAT SOUNDS AMAZING! I want more of that shoegaze sound! I miss slowdive and them :D

Kick ass! I saw him when he toured with M83 (sweet bill, that), the new stuff was really phenomenal, and an interesting break from the first two albums. Looking forward to some new Schnauss in my haus.

Just been having a good listen to his new myspace tracks.

When I first heard Medusa Edit I wasn't too sure to make of it - seemed like to many competing elements, but with a really nice bass line throughout. After a few listens though, it's really, really grown on me.

Generally like them all, especially the fantastic Shine (which features the vocals of Longview's singer, unless I'm mistaken).

Officially looking forward to this now.

good but not great ... definitely leaning more towards shoegaze than electronic music. that medusa track is tight though. i reserve my judgment until i hear (1) something higher than 96kbps and (2) the whole album
