god i was listening to this this morning on my way to work. i think i've decided the last section, maybe like the last 20 seconds are so, are my favorite beats in aphex history. they are so fucking disgusting, it's like this angry firehose of sick ass beats being unleashed. i cant believe how awesome it sounds, i'll sit there and rewind it and play it like 4 or 5 times before moving on to the next track. oh man.

err probably not any faster than what it already is though

it sometimes gets played about 120bpm and sometimes about 155bpm....

i'm talking about the remix of the remix. the mp3 that was released on rephlex . . . i dont think that's pressed up on vinyl. but i guess modern technology can play it at different speeds. it would seem, since its format is mp3 only, that its "intended" speed is as-is. which sounds to me like it's around 155, maybe more.

well even tho the remix of hte remix accentuated the beats of the last part, i always rather did like hte general structure of the end on the original.

the remix or the remix remix both are a great example of how a cut can "take you places", or kind of go on a ride of sorts as it doesnt really sit around content to ride out a groove for however long, it's a perpeutally evolving entity that absolutely creshendos at the end i na fury of snares with the cowbell ting kind of cracking me up every time i hear it, altho it's not as osetnatcios in the remix remix.

methinks he's really prone to step up to the plate when remixing a classic track like this one, kind of showing oneupmanship on some of the pioneering tracks of the format

i recently heard a re-edit of this track (the remix of the remix) by some other chap on a 12" my mate has

that would make it a re-edit of a remix of a remix

nice track but I've been thinking recently that it sounds a little too much like audio files edited together.......I know a lot of music is made this way but the box energy remix really sounds blatantly like this.

great reworking...any chance someone could post a link to the original? heard it a long time ago, but don't have it at the moment. it would be interesting to compare it to the previous incarnations.

yeah, this is a fucking awesome track. i like the original to the 2nd remix, but it's still really good.

I always preferred the original at 33rpm but the 2nd remix seems right the way it is

trust only the flwo colma "remix" is diffrent it starts half way though thats all

the rest of thee tracks on the record arnt remixed at all

especailly the armando it's actually called "confusions revenge" which was released on westbrook
