Boards of Canada I know you won't believe me

I've mentioned on here before that one of my good friends is a direct relative of the boards of canada, and as it turns out I'll be moving closer to that person very soon, around the end of the month. right now we live pretty far. I'm not sure when I'll see that person, but when they come to visit I'm going to ask them to bring all the old casettes and family-only releases so I can get good copies and all that. I'm not sure I'll be able to upload them or anything, but it'll hopefully clear up a lot of the bad information that some of the kids around here like to spread.

I don't expect a single person here to believe me, but I'll be taking a few photos of the old releases that you won't have ever seen before (e.g., me holding one) to qualify my claims here. I'm just really excited about it and I don't know anywhere else to say anything.

one thing I could do is after listening to the unreleased stuff, if it's already circulating I can at least tell you which are real.

you should of posted this once you had some proof. it sounds like you already know that engaging the hype machine relating to boc is lame, but went ahead and did it anyway.

the reason I did it this way is to give people a little glimmer of hype that is actually worth the wait and pans out the way most people wouldn't expect.... by being true. then you'll know that there's at least one person here shooting straight. I won't try to convince you, I'll just say you should make up your mind when I follow thru.

skytree - I'm not going to distributing anything. at best I'm going to clear up some bad information and if the tracks are already out there - you will benefit in knowing what's real.

If you were relative (i.e. A relative), you'd have been irrelevant, that is to say, NOT someone that would ever leak a friend's/relative's work FOR FREE.

I happened to know someone (back then), that knew them quite well...big deal, but lucky for me insofar as slsk wasn't an option way back then - we didn't even know wot the Twoism 12" sounded like in those aulden days!

I got (albeit 3rd Gen) copies of the Old Tunes & BoC Maxima on ye olde MC, just after MHTRTC came out, and I never leaked me copies, believing this (non-pirating of artistes ye love) Hex to be true, and respecting it and that. Such is the myth.

Blah blah, close this stupid forum, because if there is anyting worth saying, it will come from a reliable source...not Joyrex, not the postman, not "Michael Sandison RIP", or "My Cat Smells Of Yr Mom", but something like WARP RECORDS, or errrrm....WARP RECORDS.

if anything your post serves as a reminder that no one trusts what anyone says on this forum, and by default, anyone who has anything remotely interesting to comment about unreleased boc is either full of shit or is listening to renamed mum tracks.
