Guest Promo
Not bad ... kinda grew on me for latter part. I like the last 1 min odd ... quite 80s soulful stylee. Thought the other stuff before it was a little on the dull side. But nice sounds overall. Guest TEXX
I'm writing this as i listen to the tune. I didn't find it too jazzy, but it was a pleasant tune. Nothing struck my fancy, though. Maybe it was too reliant on it's chords, because i couldn't distinguish any interesting melodies beside the rhodes-chords. The last minute was definently the most interesting, but i have to say that nothing really caught my attention. Technically everything seemed in order. The only thing i can critique where some mediocre drum sounds, but that's only nitpicking. All in all it was a nicely done tune, though it lacked a catchy melody IMO. Guest Promo
Yeah I pretty much concur with that Texx. You summed up my thoughts a lot better. Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/17952-acid-jazzy-thingie/#findComment-368845 Share on other sites
Guest mushroom
midi file from geocities mashed together with random samples is the feel I get from this track. the distorted pad doesn't go with that bassline very well. it sounds good and everything, but it just seems out of place. it's not structured very interestingly; the "beat stop-start" thing. the whole thing sounds like pure cheese, but that may have been your intention. chim
yeah i was sort of going for cheese with simple chords, abit of a frank klepacki feel with the drums and shit, it was more of an experiment than anything else. i usually do pretty simple lines throughout a whole track and felt like i need to break away with more modulation Thanks Haha Confused Sad Facepalm Burger Farnsworth Big Brain Like × Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/17952-acid-jazzy-thingie/#findComment-368996 Share on other sites

Nothing is more annoying than "meme" music that only works to showcase the artists talent. Guest mrx
i'd be nice if this track was a bit shorter because i had trouble getting past the 2 min mark. The drum sounds were pretty weak and i hated the distorted pad. beneboi
I actually like the drums in this alot. I like that "jazz" in your book means "sounds like music from Sonic the Hedgehog." Guest pawwa
At first, I don`t like the way you use deistortion on those pads, cuz it is predictable and I know that you used Reason fot this. I don`t like to be able to guess what s/w sombody used in their tune... Hmm, the track didn`t touch me right, that`s why I don`t find it good for my ears. Keep up. WTF mate, humor makes the world go 'round, and I think he was just saying that cause your post probably kind of offended him. Since everybody hates reason or something. chim
no offense taken man, lol! i'm serious! i used to use reason. it sounded more like you had a problem with reason and was using it as a way to degrade the track or something Thanks Haha Confused Sad Facepalm Burger Farnsworth Big Brain Like × Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/17952-acid-jazzy-thingie/#findComment-370142 Share on other sites
