tarsier888
i got logic express. a kid from school who every day goes into the theater where they have musics hooked up, all the neat stuff, sits there on his mac with a synthesizer and a big square knobby thing and a drum set and all this super neat stuff, and makes electronic music. i got a teacher to install logic for me on my macbook and then today the kid taught me how to use it. SO!!!!! i know the basics, i know how to make drum loops, i know how to cut up and edit a sample, i know how to work the built in synthesizers. so basically with what i know now i can probably come up with some pretty good stuff. OKAY. so, right now i want to screw around with some samples. like drum samles, like amen break and stuff like that, or just any kind of samples at all, even voice samples. also, can someone teach me how to put effects onto a sample? like how to change everything around and make it sound echoey or whatever. thank ^_^ Thanks Haha Confused Sad Facepalm Burger Farnsworth Big Brain Like × Quote Hide tarsier888's signature Hide all signatures Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/17972-samples-for-me/ Share on other sites

Squee
I've got Logic for PC, so I'm not sure if it's the same on Mac, but on your Numpad 1 is your sequencer, 6 is your pianoroll, and 8 is your mixer. That's basically all the things you need to know. Press 8 and choose your input - which will most likely be a VST plugin. ...and your effects/compressors/EQs etc. are your Inserts. EDIT: Btw, the samples have to be .wav or .aiff Edited February 23, 2007 by Squee Thanks Haha Confused Sad Facepalm Burger Farnsworth Big Brain Like × Quote Hide all signatures Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/17972-samples-for-me/#findComment-369210 Share on other sites
