Heard an interview w/ Mark on NPR the other day. When asked what music he listened to, he said he listened to a lot, but only specifically referenced Aphex.

You churrens should get the Devo Live 1980 DVD/CD (2x sided) -- it's quite awesome. Swelling Itching Brain.

FUCK YEAH! I FOUND A DEVO THREAD!

When I was a really little kid (in the very early 80s), my older cousin was OBSESSED with Devo. On holidays, he would sit the whole family down around the TV and make us watch those old Devo films from the 70s. That planted a seed that would later grow in my brain.

They are the best.

They just are.

My favorite shit is from the "Hardcore Vol 1" sessions. Fucking sublime.

<- Amazing song!

did anybody listen to DEV2.0? I can't tell if it's funny or lame. they changed all the lyrics so now 'uncontrollable urge' is about eating snacks between meals instead of touching yourself. funny gag or money grab?

My mom and aunt got to see them play at their highschool in the 80's... I've loved Devo since I was little... such a fun/talented band.

Devo are fucking sick. In this house, we recently got the Now It Can Be Told live album on vinyl and I'm astounded at what a tight, polished live band they were.

Also, Devo are sick and girls love it when you put them on a compilation CD.

"It's nay fun for you...

You're getting pumped!"

I can't believe I traded my vinyl copies of Hardcore Devo.

I also enjoy Mark Mothersbaugh's drawing lessons.

No. Similar in ways, but very different overall.
