i just experienced synetheasia(sp) listening to cock 10

congrats. it smells like dusty old machinery to me in that part, with the colors dark blue, grey and black, and a slight metallic taste

okay okay for real, during vordhosbn, the low frequency bass hits look very orange to me. anyone else get that? probably not, cause i'm a mad genius and i see sounds whereas other people merely hear the sounds.

encourage this stuff... i'm under the impression that all senses are the same sense, and if you're not smelling and tasting that rainbow you're missing something.

the reason that we don't do that by default is cause our brains can't handle it yet.. one step at a time.

i definately feel the orange, and some dark green in vordhosbn. I feel shapes, colors, textures, with most everything. Though its not an exact science and some arent really describable while others play out almost like movies. Certain key centers have certain colors for me also, although sometimes there is variation. For example D is always blue, and A is always Red.

I get synthaesia 24/7 with everything, it sucks!!

Yea, i have almost but not quite perfect pitch so i can hear when things are even a little out of tune, it has made me an extremely harsh critic of string players. Which is a nuisance because i am a string player. I knew a girl once who actually got headaches from out of tune notes because her pitch was so good.

even though derelic7 is a little, er, oblivious, he had a good recommendation regarding synaesthesia

draw while listening to music

the thing is, i mostly draw in black and white, or simple color combos, so that's how i've started to visualize things!

it's definitely a party

wish i had more time in my life as always

yeah good idea. my mates and i put on some aphex during a pizza party a few weeks ago actually, and busted out the sketchpads. did you know "cow cud is a twin" looks just like a pony?

How can anyone really expect thier opinion in here to be accepted objectively.

I might as well say banana.

Huh, I'd never really thought about it, even though it was always there. Listening to Goon Gumpas now, and it sounds grass green. And Yellow Calx is yellow, some blues and reds in there, too, I think. It's warm, too. This is great!

Speaking of, does anyone remember the interview in which the Twin explained that he named "Girl/Boy Song" as such because he thought of songs as being "boy" songs or "girl" songs? Usually, if I'm just clear-minded, I'll think "this is a boy song" or "this is a girl song"... Anyone else?

yeah but the synesthesia has extended into more than just visual effects of music. and its been around for much longer htan i thought, with words and letters and stuff, ive just not thought about it.

i was thinking about it with his music after i read that, and that particular song does seem to fuse his different styles into one nice mix
