Which is the best synth out there on the market that can reproduce the classic TB-303 sound?

I know about the x0xb0x....I'm already on the list.

I have a MicroKorg and... I guess it's okay with the acid.

But the parameters are limited to Cutoff + Resonance and it doesn't exactly sound right [with the lack of the squelch, the rubberyness, etc.].

Maybe I'm just hard to please.

I have had my eye on the Roland SH-201. I don't know, it just seems like that Transistor Bass is somewhere inside it. It seems capable.

Anyways, any synth on the market that sounds like and works just as good as the TB-303, with the right parameters and everything?

{P.S. I have given up all hope on finding an authentic TB-303.}

...perhaps I didn't specify enough.

I mean something analog.

You know, something where you touch your fingers right on the knobs and the keys?

I don't mean softwares.

what's your budget?

btw, Roland SH-201 is a digital synth(i.e. not analogue)

Thank you, Sir Ieafs.

I thought that Modey meant to build one from scratch.

To which I replied : Ha. Right. ...you're joking aren't you?

Kay, maybe in Australia and the UK, you guys have alot of good second-hands and stuff.

But here in the U S of effing A, there isn't shit.

"Oh, look! A pawn shop!" *You go in.*

Nothing but lawn mowers and old videotapes.

"Oh, look! I see something music-related!" *It's an effing Casio.*

Dammit.

I can't wait to get out of here.

I disdain America.

{P.S. I hope no one just took any sort of offence.}

well the x0xb0x is about the best replica you can hope for. Look on the x0x site, they actually link to other good clones. If you can afford it there are plenty of 303s being sold on eBay so you are doin g something wrong if you can't find one at all. rebirth is discontinued but that just means its free now and i think it sounds fantastic.

Um. Do you live in a part of America that doesn't have eBay or Craigslist? That would be, what, Guantanamo Bay?
