Corrupted Cubase Project File?

i have this song, see?

and now everytime i open it, it opens normally. i can just sit there and look at it. but if i try to do anything that opens a window at all (save as, remove track, turn off VST, whatever) Cubase SX freezes.

didn't start happening till i recorded some automation on a plugin on an audio track, but this plugin has never given me trouble before. i dunno why it would suddenly corrupt a pro file.

i tried removing the newest track / deleting the sound file...but both these actions freeze up cubase anyways.

thoughts?

i'd try to uninstall the plugin that you automated...

or reinstall cubase and try to open the file in the new cubase install.
