I think maybe the title is a riff on "26 Mixes For Cash", no?

Yeah, perhaps. Gets me thinking that Luke should put out a compilation of his remix work. The few that I have / heard are great.

His mix of Hey Hey Can You Relate? by DJ Mink is superb. At least get that one.

Also recommended -

2 Player - Extreme Possibilites (Wagon Christ mix)

Cowboy Bebop - Tank! (Luke Vibert mix)

DJ Food - Turtle Soup (Wagon Christ mix)

Merzbow - Luxurious Automobile (Plug mix)

I don't know, I have over 5 hours of Luke's remix work. You could compile a great album from that.

i "found" an unreleased peel session is that right did he do one and was it unreleased.

Yeah I've got all those remixes you mentioned except the Plug one, Extreme possibilities is classic & Turtle Soup is what first put me on to Wagon Christ!

he did two one in'98 the other in '01 unreleased the both of them.

Some of the track have appeared on compilations, for instance "Hot One" was on a Blue Planet compilation back in 97 or so, Gas Fish was one of the first tracks he released, Indian Giver and River were on the Japanese version of Throbbing Pouch, Combination Reggae Dancing and Ruff Dog were the only ones I hadn't seen before. who knows perhaps he gave these tracks to record companies in good faith and was never paid. ?? Another intersting thing is that these are now being released on Luke's own label- Personal (Stereo)- which was spawned, I think, when Luke was on Virgin way back ... Tally Ho and the cd singles from that LP were the only others released on that label if my memory serves me correct.

More than likely the title is probably a dig at RDJ as he stole the Analord title.

I had the "Hey! Hey! Can U Relate" Mix from the "Warp 10+3: The Remixes" compilation, although that begs the question, did Warp really not pay Luke for his track??? I think its far more likely as already stated that the name is a piss take on 26 Mixes for Cash.

Also, you can hear some of the original on The Prodigy's "Dirt Chamber Sessions" mix CD, which is actually not half bad.
