Has anybody messed around with Psycle? It's a pretty cool peice of (open source) software. It is some sort of hybrid tracker (but in a different direction than renoise), and once it matures some more it could very well be the most useful peice of open source music making software (unless lmms developement goes up).

I never liked it too much for some reason. I always preferred buzz.

I always promised myself I'd check it out again once they got a multi pattern sequencer and better VST handling.

 

Not sure about the status of either atm
