I'll probably have a scoot around tomorrow to see if the video's available online, but basically the vid's a parody of modern-day artsiness and is set in a gallery. At one point a long-haired bloke is standing behind a mixer with a microphone in a food blender plugged into it. Can't remember whether they replicated the sandpaper-on-the-decks or not as I haven't seen it for about a month.

How aware are you of avant garde music? Sandpaper, foodmixers, chainsaws, hammers, factory horns, engine's etc. etc. have been apart of 'art' for tens of years before Aphex paid homage to it.

It's an obvious Aphex reference. What makes you think that Franz Ferdinand or their director give a shit about 20th century avant-garde compositions? They have no idea.

It relates the the time Aphex spun sandpaper discs and the time he stuck a live microphone in a blender and turned it on.

i actually do that type of thing anyway and i had no idea there was some sort of modern art connection...i just happen to like the sounds appliances make
