Guest Dzn
hi! so i have this lil built in mic on my laptop, i want to be able to tap it and have the peaks write midi notes or trigger samples (whose volume would be equivalent to the volume of the tap). is there anything out there that does this or should i start looking into how to do it in max/ msp? Guest joshier
There is something from http://www.smartelectronix.com/ but I can't remember the exact location of the plugin. You should be able to find it relatively easily by checking out all of the developers homepages. If I find it, I'll post. awepittance
or check out the reaktor patch beatboxer - Quote Beatboxer - Incoming live audio is detected for bassdrum-like, hi-hat-like, or snaredrum like properties. When these characteristics match they are replaced by sampled Bassdrums, hi-hats, and snaredrums of your choosing (many samples are included). Designed for a vocalist or beat boxer to speak into the microphone and hear their mouth percussion turn into electronic drums or break beats in real-time. Another interesting feature is to use it as an insert effect. By putting breakbeat loops through it for instance, you can achieve a sort of bass drum replacement. Good for hip hop music where you want an extra synthesizer bass hit along with your sampled drum loop download here Thanks Haha Confused Sad Facepalm Burger Farnsworth Big Brain Like × Quote Hide awepittance's signature Hide all signatures Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/19665-triggering-samples-based-on-mic-input/#findComment-402336 Share on other sites
