curious what people think of this. there are a couple of really good songs, and a couple more good songs. its an interesting listen... certain songs it sounds to me as though they/he are/is layering a completely different song, sending it through a band-pass and distorting it...

and, the classification on boomkat was "laptop americana"? i guess thats interesting.

its a pretty "pop" record.

very very good, i can see why people compare his vocal sound to brian wilson but most of the comparisons i think should stop there... more organic sound maybe?

like the beach boys on mushrooms ... very good. though it didn't quite deserve a 9.4 or whatever pitchfork gave it

really nice record, not on the same level as feels, though.

you guys heard the samples used in bros and take pills? check out "popeye twist" and "red roses and a sky of blue" by the tornados. it's crazy, that popeye twist song is really shitty and kind of annoying but theres this couple second break where all of the annoying instruments go away and its just that bass and drums, and that becomes the foundation for the entire second part of take pills. now thats some good sampling.

yeah this record's really good.

Yeah this stays on repeat.

Yeah it's just a great record.
