I think this one is a bit too wandery for my tastes. The patterns are not interesting enough on their own merit to carry an essentially themeless song, nor is the rhythm. At times it almost sounds like several randomly generated 303 patterns strung together? Not really my cup of tea.

yeah, cheers for listening! i'm not so into the mentalist thing these days as i'm old and infirm but it could maybe do with a little remixing here and there to jazz it up slightly...

i think this would work better completely dry , if you ditched the reverb, all in all though pretty uninspiring run of the mill acid lines and progressions, the sudden introduction of large amounts of roomverb doesnt work, would benefit from chords or pads in the background to make it more than the sum of its parts, its just so average

er, probably won't hear it friday as i'm going to play harder stuff probably...

i use FL7 and the Phoscyon for the acid and i master in T-Racks 24 Pro and I also use a bit of ACID pro 6....

this a very quirky little track :)

but quite fun too i guess. i have to say i disagree with whoever said the roomverb doesnt work.

although it would be nice if u sample the pure wet verb and make some pads out of it. rather than just the random dropping in.

as for the acid lines :) hehe there ever so slight devoid of key. so it just has that slightly frustrating atonalism to it. the acid line from the beginning section seemed to change its mind every few seconds as to what mood and feeling to evoke. one second ull get a phrase which could lead into a really heartfely melody, next its cheeky then dark then daft then happy. very strange.

i guess it depends on whether u just key'd in a load of random notes cos u couldnt be assed to think about it. or u actually spent ages making it deliberately juuuust off.

after all that waffle....i did quite enjoy it. but its a little too wonky for me.

ta very much! no i didn't just put in random notes - what it is is 2 patterns (that change occasionally) on the 303 triggered by programmed in notes in a 16 step sequence. basically i've sequenced a sequence if you see what i mean....
