Decoy Pond House (mix 1 & 303 mix) - epic piano house

Some Glorious ESq-1 fun using the Piano Sound of a billion house records

listened to the first track..

don't like the drums, i presume you're using all that hardware in the picture above.. i don't know a thing about programming hardware..so i don't know what work went into it.

i like the pad synth.. the track goes on for too long.. but it did get into at mid point, but it didn't change, and I also don't know anything about music theory, but a few of the notes clashed for me.

ok, it's finished.. yeah, something about that kick drum, just really bugs me.. i like the hi hats though..

I'm not noticing much different between either track.. very little.. the first is obviously a lot longer..

fuck off..it's a tr-707 its the best drumachine ever..pure acid house mainstay, though i did use a tiny bit of sh-101 for a deeper bass way down in the mix :)

well they are actaully the same track..one with a esq-1 bassline and one with a 303 as the bassline and changed it around a bit

it was all done live, no edits or anything on all hardware

.. and track length its a diffrence between 5 seconds:

mix 1 is 7:04 and 303 mix is 6:59... personally i dont think i could of expressed how i wanted it to sound in less then that time...

I think it might just be your approach. As his name suggests, Chris Moss Acid is an Acid Techno/House producer. You might not be shocked to hear that the Roland x0x gear is featured quite heavily in this style, so saying "I don't like the drums" can sound a bit dickish. It'd be like critiquing Boards of Canada and saying "mm, great, but.. I really don't like that 70's feel.. ". It's kind of the central point isn't it?

i didnt use it on these tracks.

well obviously i sequenced in all the piano bits in live and played them back..but the actual structure was done live as it happend
