Gescom

In my grand tradition of self-contradiction (see this thread), I've downloaded everything Gescom from Bleep and then their remaining discography painstakingly through Soulseek. I've actually had Key Nell, IS:SSA and Minidisc for a while, but I was itchin' for more.

So, yeah, I've listened to Sounds of the Machines Our Parents Used roughly ten times today. It's so good, oh it's so good. It's keeping me from checking the others, damn it.

Go Sheep is fucking amazing.

Also, Keynell 2 and 4 are amazing. God damn.

If you've got anything missing from Gescom, Skam has their stuff for download. Five and Cicada are lush tunes.

God I love Gescom.

Anyone for a round of your fav Gescom track??

Mine is Slow Acid hands down.

yeah slow acid is fucking fantastic, ive been listening to it a lot lately.

autechre or gescom should make more tracks like this.

i hear that particular acid sound on a lot of later autechre era tracks too, but its at its juiciest definitly on this song.

it sounds to me like a rapid fire resonance envelope being controlled with an lfo some custom fm acid max/msp hardcore shit

politically i dont think we will ever see eye to eye, but when it comes to Gescom

cheers fellow slow aciders.

I think I like it best because it sounds more like an AE track. I think it would have sounded just fine on confield or draft.

But yea, Vl Al 5, P Ntil, parts of Sam Gishel, and a bunch of others all have that similar sound. I havent the faintest idear how they do it, but my money is on some sort of max/msp thing since that sound started creeping up during EP7.

Why have so many people called it Sam Gishel? Is that its name and I've not noticed it all this time?

ha i just noticed that. With the way ae names there tracks though, I usually just make them up as I go. Parhelic Triangle-----> Pathetic Triangle. I still couldnt spell the First or last tracks without looking on confield., or eidet chastin or whatever for that matter. Let alone the track names on draft,,,,
