until now you haven't been a great help on that topic, mosca. you've even increased the problems with your acting until now - though i honestly understand most parts of that. i'm sorry for any approaching problems to you, but i have to solve my own ones with all that.

i guess its obvious, that i like the danktop release as it is. cody has been a nice partner to argue selection and we've reached a good level to expose this kind of creation they're doing.

i don't need to be a help on that topic, you don't need any input from me at all - just get a new name.

that might take a while. if we've organized that cutoff together and would've established a true reference for those that have been acting on that name until then - that would've been a good step. the adressing to that name is built upon a host of references that are - simply - not adressing mosca. and neither me - otherwise that would be really simple.

and your biggest mistake of all was to announce retropublik.net . that was not intended - and we've setup that domain to clear out the scripts we've explicitely coded for retropublik.com. it was just easier with a domain holding the same name. the way you've been communicating the whole thing has made it very ugly - especially in this place.

loyalty is a great window for a lot of things. you can't build a place for people that honestly have beliefs in your work, and disconnect it a couple of months later - out of a sudden mood. some of these people have been working a lot of months to set up their stuff - and in the moment they decide to take one or the other place (if they can) they also decide AGAINST a lot of other ways that are closed from that very moment on. sticking these releases into a dozen labels would heavily decrease the weight of their name. i mean their moniker or even personality.

yeah lets tomorrow change that name, and in two days danktop is "justanothername" and in three days we're renaming the title names. i wonder what you're wanting to listen to then. you've been calling the thing a LABEL - and it is: out of our hands it has been recognized and established. maybe tomorrow your herb release you've been offering via beatport on retropublik.com disappears. "of need and belonging" ...

i'm very sad about the whole story. and again - i'm working on it, but its not just registerung "we have a new name, and we're the brandnew heavies". wish you good luck with your choices in the future, mosca - as you should wish those that may work with you.

let's be honest for a minute tho, it's not a label - it's a netlabel same as the other 10000 netlabels out there. It always was, it may have been better than some and worse than others, that's for the downloading masses to decide. To change the name is easy - put a 'formerly retropublik.com' on the front page. I hardly think that there are thousands of people out there who are actually concerned what the label name is.

if you plan to make a real go of it tho (and i hope you do) then a change of name would be the first thing to do so as to distance yourself from the old netlabel.

anyhow, i'm reading in your post that you do intend to change the name - and then all of this will be forgotten.

yes... right now, the only one that's suffering is danktop! all they want is to be heard. some don't want to listen do to the label name. that is understandable, but listen for danktop's sake... it's for the children yo! it's for the children!
