breaks

a while ago, someone here posted a zip file with a load of breaks in it. there was one called USA.wav which is quite short, one bar, sounds synthesised, and really familiar. and i was in a club last night and saw a-skillz and he played this random track with this break slowed down over the top and it sounded sick. so i was wondering if any of you have got a clue? or should i try and post the break?

that rnb track is from 2005, so it's not that

and it's not "born in the usa"....

i dunno where it came from and i was just a bit interested. what a conundrum....

actually that track is from 1996.

d'oh - this one is pissing me off - i thought i would have this somewhere but just skipped through about 700 breaks and it only showed up once... called usa.wav... someone must know this one! i've heard it tons of times in at least a couple of different tunes.

since it sounds very much like it's a 909 why not copy the pattern and fanny about with some 909 samples and some big reverb and see if you can get close?

no, have a listen! not sure about the other tracks but the break in Ice Cube - Wicked is either grand funk railroads inside looking out or sly and the family stones sing a simple song.

try searching the breaks thread on dogsonacid... or just ask. if anyone knows itll be them.

i've still not seen it about anywhere and must have listened to a good couple of thousand breaks since the last time i was in here. i reckon the original is a hip hop track from about 84-86, possibly a wee bit later but beyond that i cannae help.

oh shit, got it based on that then reading that someone said schooly d - it's schoolly d - PSK, i'm not certain thats the first use/original track but i think it might be.
