Sounds cool, could be nice with a bouncy resonant bassline on top.

Not bad. A few more layers would be nice. I think the production is good and the vibe is different. Its interesting to hear how different folk interpret the 'electro' sound.

Much better second attempt at electro. I lub electro try doing another inspired by Egyptian Lover next please :)

Yeah definitely has that Ghettotech vibe to it. Ha those synths 2nd layer synths are very electroey. I see you got the Arpegiattor running on the 2nd layer. I think the most unique part are those funny sounding synths. Mmm I think at this stage its too early to really say if this is a dope track or will become one yet. I can hear the potential though. Still I think the key for you would be to put your own stamp on the electro vibe.

I'm leaving this track 'unfinished' for the moment. I'll expand on it and finish it at a later date

I changed my mind and did some more work. this version rips off a kraftwerkian type melody, is extended a bit and i killed the bass a bit (maybe too much, i'll have to check it out loud tomorrow)

I'm diggin this, although it sounds a bit dub/jungley to me instead of electro. The gated lead line is a bit cheese, but then electro is a bit cheese isn't it? Needs more of something.. I think you may have killed the bass on the kik drums a bit much, they seem a bit "clicky" here and I have if anything, too much bass from this system. It seemed a bit sparse on melody to me still but, production is top notch.

I would go for more oomph for sure. Do you have a vocoder? All of the best electro vocoder lines are cheesey/hillarious and not terriblyu hard to come up with on the fly, and I feel like they really help "glue" a sparse electro groove together.

I don't have access to a hardware vocoder. I tried a vst one called "orange" or "orangator" or something a while back. I'll try that tomorrow - see what i can come up with, thanks!

i've been working on the subbass, here is new version. I used a gate on the subbass in a few sections to get a dubby effect.

i'd also left an audio channel open that was introducing a shed load of noise, closed that so it's less noisy now !

ok, i replaced that one, i'd overwritten the gate modulations on the synth somehow, i've redone it, but it's a bit more subtle now. I'm getting hyper obsessed with meddling with this track, it defo stops here HAHHA LOL! :O)

im stuck in a render loop, keep changing microscopic things :(

weren't vocoders originally used on phone lines to save bandwidth? phone conversations back then (30s i think) would have been totally electro!
