This is really sad to hear, i was actually just searching out some of his old stuff the other day, having a revival of sorts. RIP Arguelle's, thanks for the cool plugins.

The first version of Renoise was originally written from code of another tracker called NoiseTrekker, created by Arguru.

Given the nod in the "render to wav" option that everyone uses "Arguru's Sync (Perfect)"

And off course it's a big downer for me as well what with him doing great development for Buzz and Buzz machines too. Sad news indeed.

I can't tell you how many machines I used by arguru in the beginning.

I think like 90% of the tracks I wrote the first year I was mucking with Buzz used the Guru3

What a genius tho.... who could have ever thought up the vertical piano roll.
