Vista help for a Mac user

So my friend asked me to help him get started w/ software... he has a Gateway laptop and wants to start making tunes onit. I suggested Fl studio and for an audio/ midi interface suggested a Tascam us 122. Reading up briefly on the interface I was foolish enough to assume that " it will work on any pc or mac' meant that it would operate on Vista. It doesn't.. what do you all use for an audio/ midi interface who are using Vista ?

So is there no audio interface that works w/ vista ?

all current Mark of the Unicorn gear works with Vista.

Ultralite is a good tip.

Well i tried running the setup in xp compatibility and that didn't work , but somehow, I was just informed, My buddy got the damn drivers installed and running.
