ace of clubs

both of these have been out and about for awhile now (benefist isnt even released until later this month).

who else has heard these?

i wasn't expecting all that much from benefist, what with there being an album out on mu being released only days apart, and this being the acid only album of the two. though it was better than i was expecting. while its a long album to get through, theres definitely some alright tunes in there.

all the songs are in one form or another an acid tune (tho no where near as old school as the classid trax ep), and out of nowhere in the middle of the album is a video game esque tune that doesnt even appear on the firstcask tracklisting.

Took a few listens, but Benefist is absolutely fucking brilliant.

Luke Vibert is one of my favorite artists, but I can't keep up with all his releases. It seemed like forever between Tally Ho! and Musipal.

I gotta get this one. His kids gotta eat.

Bought the EP, and I'll definately be purchasing this. Its his finest release since Kerrier District and he's provided me with enough tunes for when I'm smoking weed too, amen.

benefist rules. i just wish frickin forced exposure would get it already.

here i thought it was going to sound like yoseph. not that there was anything wrong with yoseph. benefist just sounds so much more fresh. so raw. amazing luke, you've out done yourself. i'm buying this at the end of the month.

As a whole i seriously think Ace of Clubs is the worst album he's ever released.

Hopefully Chicago is better.. it should show up in my mailbox any day now..
