the new Rubens single going out on 7 inch vinyl is being released on August 6th.

B Side - Vertical Hold

The single release will be followed up by the "Breaking Into Smile" EP on 12 inch vinyl. Featuring remixes by,

Wow, some big names on the remix 12- Congrats!

yeah, all good stuff. the 7" will be a limited 300 run, available from key selected record outlets such as Boomkat, Piccadilly Records, Rough Trade, Norman Record and local boutique joints across the UK. We'll be selling them direct via the Herb Recordings website too - so international orders can go through there. Should only be a couple o' quid plus p&p.

The 12" will hopefully be available via Warpmart & Bleep too, and will be limited to 500 copies. Worth looking out for just for the remixes alone...all are great in their own slant.

The release schedule for the Rubens singles and album full release has been revised, in order to meet some press deadlines we'd have missed otherwise.

The limited 7" promo release of Puggies / Vertical Hold will now be out on August 27th, 3 weeks later than originally slated.

The 12" Breaking Into Smile EP with the Black Dog, As One and Dextro remixes will follow on 24th September, with the album out a fortnight after.

The promo 7" single of Puggies / Vertical Hold, taken from the new Rubens album, is now available to pre-order from the Herb Recordings webstore.

Priced £2.49 + £1 p&p, and limited to just 300 copies, this will (hopefully) sell fast - so get your orders in now in advance of general release in good record stores on August 27th.

This limited 7" single will be followed by a second single - Breaking Into Smile, this time on 12" feat. remixes by The Black Dog, Dextro and Kirk Degiorgio. Look out for that coming out Sep 24th.

i have to say ~ism and gump...

the mastering is quite heavy on the single compared to the album versions.

sounds beefy likes, buit there's some noticeable compression artefacts.

the artwork is sweet as though. i see you've updated the art on carnivalesque also.

yup - just search for them on itunes, beatport, etc.

yup - i know what ya sayin bro.. it's something we're still very green on - vinyl mastering. It was some 'guy' at the plant that did the final master... we'll take more control of that at some point in the future. noobs that we are!

TPs came back yesterday for the 12, so all checked out and the pressing should be underway as we speak. Some nice artwork for it too.

Sadly, no vinyl for the album. Would have been very nice. Too expensive for fledgling wee label. Maybe for album number two eh?
