Wasps long time no see. Thanks for the comment on me tune although I hassen to add its not quite finito.

Yes, this isn't too bad. Ooo those big rock guitars are heavy .... me likes. Definitely a real mesh of influences here. Big sound. Quite commercial I guess but pretty palatable all the same. Perhaps not my fav of yours but certainly listenable and I'm a sucker for heavy guitar solos. I think the keys sounded a touch messy and would have been nicer if they had a bit of electro fuzz on them. Not necessarily the sort of style I'd go for these days but I'd be lying if I said it wasn't a fairly enjoyable listen. And my hat goes off to your obvious musicianship. By the way would be very cool if you could add a guitar solo to one of my tunes some time in the future.

Hey guys, thanks for the feedbackage. Would never have thought this sounded commercial, so that's definitely a surprising soundbite. These days I'm deliberately keeping it flawed, mainly as the things that have spoken to me most in recent times have all been relatively lofi, imperfect creations. Sliding in and out of time, bum notes and trash sound is where I'm at now...

Promo, can defo help you out with a solo, but it's no false modesty to say I'm really not very good. Distortion hides a multitude of sins...

i usually like wasps songs

i never made the connection that wasps = implosion quintet

i must add you as a myspace friend

this song is fun, i like using "whatever sound it takes"

using the distorted guitars was brave i think, but i did cringe a little when the rock chords got strummed (in retrospect, not so bad, i initially thought the rest of the song would be that way, it's different as just a moment in the song) i would've liked maybe focusing on softer intstruments there, instead of going heavier, bringing a cello and voice or two playing the same notes. i think it could be equally intense to make it more intimate for a moment

the breathing pad in the right channel was cozy i liked it

good track, you always post nice things

doesn't sound more commercial than plone. liking this a lot. would like the OD guitars to be louder with more bass frequencies. i like it a lot. it's the perfect psychaedelic merry-go-round music. reminds of pink floyd and caravan, dunno, soft machine, wyatt and the like, with a more modern touch. liked it lots. saving to drive.

edit. been just checking your last.fm page. i think i'm responsible for creating the tag "acoustronica" :) sprang to mind while listening to your music.

:omg:

Bloody hell, has to be the most replies I've ever received here. Ironic, considering I thought my new sketchy direction would be completely alienatory. It's genuinely surprising to me that so many of you dug. :)

I realised recently that I had alot of self imposed boundaries as to what I could and could not include in my stuff in adherence to a perceived genre. Just totally fucking ridiculous, being that I don't write this for anyone but myself anyway. So everything I've dug for the last 30 years is in there somewhere, metal included. Maximalism, I guess... :) Maximalist-jazz-bobbin-metal, yo.

Anyway, enough self-indulgent warbling. Thanks very much to everyone who listened and commented, as always, it's very much appreciated. Have a good weekend all.
