Saw Juicy Luke vibert on Saturday and he played

Sythancon9, that Tanhyana russell track and Didgerydoo all in a row. It was amazing.

The Tanhiyana russell thing is amazing on a big sound system, loads of wobbly squelchy acid. Also the version that was knocking around these parts has loads of hats and claps mixed in by Mr vibert but the original i without all this and very minimal and grooving.

Also synthacon9 made me jump about like a crazy person. music made for serious pressure.

And why did you not record any of this for watmm ?

Especially fucking bad over here in the Midwest in places like Cincinnati. No one ever comes near here, and if anything good does emerge, it's of course gonna be gone the fuck out of here (e.g. cLOUDDEAD).

Thats bad news guys. I suppose i dont realise how good the scene is in england despite its many failings it seems to have good music.

My town is like the American electronic scene,from reading the posts here.

Chicago isnt HORRIBLE but most electronic acts are the tasteless mainstream ones... last goodie of note was Vibert in November.

For those Americans that are hurting for some choice electronic music: If you ever have the chance to see/hear Vytear (out of Philly) live.... you owe it to yourselves to go to one of his shows. And even though he's won a bunch of laptop battles, its not really his bag, as well over 90% of his music is made with hardware.
