Guest Dactyl
Hello fellow music makers, I am new to this site, but have been twiddling knobs for the past four years or so. I quit the electronics about a year or so and took up straight noise. Anyway, I'm getting pretty sick of the noise and really want to get back to making Electro/electronic music stuff. If you have the time, please check out an album I recorded in 2003. The album is titled "Tetradactyl." I recorded all my tracks with Jeskola Buzz, so the production isn't that great, but at least the instruments are authentic. Tetradactyl by Dactyl Standout tracks are: Ghosts in the snow - Minimal instruments, club bass, dark tone, empty sounding at first, but then reaches its peak when the beat kicks in and a choir of angels pervades the underlying theme, stressing the eerie mood of the piece. Tetradactyl - Billy Corgnesque drums and a gothic tone. This is the darkest track. The drums are sampled from Kraftwerk drum machines with a wicked bass line underlying the beat. The whole track progresses and culminates in intensity, only to be released at a given instant in which the naked melodic theme of the album is left standing alone, only to descend into the next track. Free floating anxiety - Chaotic noise percussion with an off beat melody. Skattered noise mixed with autechrish melody - it's a pretty fucked up concoction, but it's probably my favorite. It is definitely the most powerful. Finding my way - Two part structure. It flies high with soft piano for the first part, then descends back into darkness for the second.
