All hail the return of Todd Osborn, affectionately known as Osborne to Spectral fans, or as Soundmurderer when he feels like it. Todd is a man of many passions: aviation, refurbishing electron microscopes and BMX bikes, and not least of all, making shit tons of good music in nearly every imaginable genre, from ghettotech to fantasy metal.

First appearing in edited form as a hidden track on Ghostly's Idol Tryouts Two compilation, "Outta Sight" finally gets its proper due, and like a lost paradise garage classic, it's pure magic. With slinking percussion, elegant string pads, and a piano melody recalling everything from Aphexian rhapsodies to Miami Sound Machine, "Outta Sight" is all the title implies, and definitely a new sound in its own right.

Not to be outdone, Osborne's mate Luke Vibert (AKA Kerrier District, Wagon Christ) joins the party with a bubbling piece of cut-up disco, creating an evocative mood with stuttering vocal hooks and big beats. The flip belongs to Osborne and his producer partner-in-crime, James T. Cotton (AKA Dabrye), together Voltroning it as TNT. "L8" (pronounced "late") is grindy, undulating summer house at its best.
