Guest Promo
So I'm playing this gig in Norwich and been asked for a track for their free cd give away thing. Finding the time to give something I think is good enough is usually tough though. Anyways I decided to update an old tune of mine as the original version is lacking definition due to the recording and sound card etc. Also I felt like adding some new beats. Anyways views and suggestions appreciated as always. Guest ccfeln
Listened to it a few times. The problem with this track imho is that it doesnt flow smoothly, feels like bits thrown together without cohesion (:52, 1:57, 2:30). the parts themselves are ok, and the beats I was impressed with, very cool (altho that repetitive pounding hit hit hit hit dnb pattern is sometimes annoying, but thats just me). I'd start the track at :52, dig that. Anyway, great beats, not so great flow. Yeah, its one of those tunes that you'd have to be familiar with the original but as first time observation is what I need I respect that. I was gonna run the structure ala the original but then I thought I'd mix it up but I'll go back and rework it. Maybe just stick to the original flow and structure. Here is the original Your browser does not support the HTML5 audio tag The Bro - Justin Time as a comparitive. Yes, i like the original better, it feels like a "proper track", so i would go with "stick to the original flow and structure". good track btw Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/22952-old-tune-remixed/#findComment-478815 Share on other sites
