seriously dood, buy the cd immediately ... this is the best sort of Gas/'heroin house'/dub music ever, and it really doesn't do justice to listen to it in clips

oh hmm. actually i think i remember you talking about how you dislike the reggae aspect ... abraxas has a really heavy reggae type beat, the rest of the tracks are more echo and space (except for celestialis) ... echospace 4 is a lot more ambient-ish

listening to this now. really, really good.

i've been through this record a couple of times now... and there are some incredible moments... but, there are some moments where i'm just totally not into it either.

sartre thought that for something to be truly beautiful, it must in some way also appear to be ugly... in that sense, there is nothing ugly about this album... its all very mellow and nice.

i'd say the highlights of it are very strong highlights, but that, overall, its not bold enough to be truly beautiful.

yeah monolake don't feel reggae-ish at all, it's all very icy. even though technically they're part of the basic channel/dub thing

anyway i don't see how off-beat chords make you dislike the music (but then we all have different taste, etc). but i'll keep posting about it until you agree, lol. well, not really

listening to this at the moment. up to track4 (cd release). realllly nice so far

Yeah, I'll definitely be picking this one up- I've been on a real Basic Channel/Rhythm & Sound/Vlad Delay/Pole/Rod Modell kick lately.

i'm happy to admit, i WAS erroneous... this album is really damn good...

i've been working through the modell/deepchord/soultek back catalog as well, it's all good, except for a couple of the early releases (dc01-06, 09, 11). the four releases so far on their label (echospace [detroit]) are ferociously awesome
