My first 2 Tracker...tracks

They're pretty experimental for the most part, just figuring out renoise and this is what i've come up with.

The first song i made is "what dolphins do all day" probably my favourite of the 2, slow triphop

The second "52 cards" is a drum n bass attempt, it's got a couple fun tunes in it.

Arugably you missed the best part of 52 cards, but i'll agree with you for its not being very inspired.

2nd one has much more going for it but unfortunately it's all shrouded in some kind of unnecessary clcihed "electronic music" bit crushing or something

52 cards: you might've paid more attention to the other elements as much as you did the hats, but i disagree with mr.x and agree with myself that the melody is good. i like how it all drops out and then kicks back in. i retract what i said about not focussing on the other elements as much; when it gets into proper dnb it's well-done. this is a lot better than what i first made on renoise... that last melody sounds kinda squarepushery to me i dunno why. you might try to resist the urge to let one note drone... because you could make that a supportive counterpoint and have it a bit more elaborate. good track.

what dolphins do all day: i don't know how you made this precisely; i'd sure like to've seen you at work on it because it sounds like you played a live instrument over other recorded bits in renoise. maybe don't let renoise limit you with the beats and measures, feeling like you have to make visible patterns in the tracker or use all the beats? this has got a real wild evocative native american motif to it... i would buy something like this. i think your guitar program could be changed a bit for the better but otherwise this is near-excellent.

Thanks for all the feedback tht!

on the dolphins track i was just using a VST for that guitar sound, i really like the idea of the native american motif, very cool.
