How do you run distorted to fuck drums?

isolate the drums to their own channel or channels, before the final mix

distort that channel

with sends on a mixer, or running the drums directly through the effect, maybe tell which host or hardware you are using and one can be more specific

I'm using Abletron. So basically I exclude the drums from the final mix and then mix the drums with the final mix?

send all your drum channels to the same audio channel ( switch monitor on) and put the dist. effect there

dont dirty the drums dirty the entire mix.

eq is for boybands.

mix it so it doesn't clip? like, turn the output volume down on the distortion, or however you like

don't put distortion on the master bus

put a distortion vst on your drum channel, or if you have multiple drum channels, rout them all to a group, or bus (idk how ableton handles this) then put the vst on that bus
