I can confirm that there is a new major release by the band coming up.

The announcement will appear first on the official website nearer the

hexagonsun_official is not the same person as this one...as far as I know, why should he change name?

because it's a different yahoogroup. most folks migrated from the old one because of spam and the fact the group's creator was no longer active therefore it was impossible to ban people.

as far as i'm concerned it's the same person.

This doesn't prove that hex_official is a phony, but why would he create a second account?

Exactly my thoughts, very well put. With boards and all these "boards"...you never know tho.

used to be a different account here as well. I would be inclined to take this as legit. It may simply be that a different person has taken the responsibility for representing HS than before and the last one didn't leave behind the login info.

yeah i would tend towards the same interpretation. especially with jr and tree backin it up to a degree

dunno what the fuzz is about..I mean that a new release is coming sooner than we think is already officially confirmed by Boards Of Canada themselves in recent TCH era interviews...

I want a date, that would be breaking news to me, its not like they claimed TCH to be the last album, more the opposite, with lots of projects coming solo records, soundtrack, new record...

so that a new boc record is coming out, is that really news?

It's awesomely vague innit !! I could guess that they'd indeed have some sort of major release in the future, and it'd be a fair bet that they'd announce it on their website.

There is an album coming, an announcement will be made soon (I have no idea exactly when) and I think it's safe to assume the emphasis on major is appropriate...
