Guest Kenneth172
The D'Arcangelo brothers have returned with more of what they do best - pure electronic music. I don't feel there's a massive progression with this album and it lacks the aggression of their earlier releases on Rephlex (e.g. D'Arcangelo EP), but it makes for superb electro-ambient electronic music. This will be an album I will go back to listening again and again. Great for in the car, headphones, work, rest and play. 4 out of 5 Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/23904-darcangelo-eksel/ Share on other sites

Rubin Farr
i didn't think they could top Broken Toys Corner, but they did. more focus on sublime melody than rhythm. awesome. khov
while ordering the Eksel album, i found an old monomorph CD: http://www.discogs.com/release/257783 it sounds a bit old but at least, its very good ; it cost me something like 3 euros. weird. Guest Kenneth172
track 8 - Sundart is enormously reptitive. It's basically an loop. Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/23904-darcangelo-eksel/#findComment-529748 Share on other sites
Guest Rook
Can we talk about this some more plaz??? I have decided I like the second half of the album best. Like from Sundart on. Asker probably being my favorite. I am really digging Sundart though. I was listening to it today and almost fell asleep, but in a really good way, ya dig?? Guest catharsis
I know it's been 4 years, but I just finished listening to Eksel again and it's fantastic. After coming off a "hype-wave" with acts like Burial and the Field who are getting rave reviews by critics and fans (not me), I can't help but feel as though people are slightly misguided when artists like D'Arcangelo go unnoticed.
