Hi,

Checkout the new EP from Rubens at Evident Side - a collection of 5 tracks, comprising of recent remixes and some original tracks, as a first release under the Rubens guise (Gump and myself).

"Breaking Into Smile" is absolutely magnificent! what a beautiful track! great fucking work! still have yet to hear the rest, but couldn't resist commenting on that track alone!

cheers luke - that kind of feedback is what gives the track its name.

meant to add: the remix tracks are obviously credited to the original artist - so when importing into your media player, you need to organise by Album and not Artist...otherwise the tracks are all over the place.

Quite a pleasant selection of tracks I felt but not an ep which blew me away. The first track, the Mosca remix I've heard before and was a welcome listen. I kinda felt that the New City 16 remix could have been more but with the original material being so strong would be difficult to better. May add some more views in due course as I've only listened through once.

word to the 'Atman' props - seriously, one of the top 10 tracks (commercially released or otherwise) ive heard in the past 12 mths. can't get enough. it's like a high dosage of super-boc. real magic.

Awesome. Just finished listening to it, very good stuff indeed. For some reason the first 2 tracks (Bank Holiday & Breaking into smile) exude the same sort of vibe of mid-90's Warp stuff, I'm not sure how to explain that better. Maybe it's like the sort of nostalgia a la boc, but instead of referencing 70's stuff, its more a 90's nostalgia. That probably doesn't make any sence, sorry :grin:

I loved Jam 188 onwards (oops, just realised that the tracks are in alphabetical order rather than in any specific order, so Jamm 188, The Less We Know & Vertical Hold) , there's some fantastic production going on there, and a fantastic variety of electronic action. It's definitely a keeper on my hard disk guys

Aye, It is all a facade indeed. I spend all of my time at work procrastinating and trying to take over international porn sites in the name of Jesus Christ. Other than that I just fuck around looking at the football/soccer news.

"Breaking Into Smile" is a wonderful tune....my favorite on the EP.....I played it dozens of times.............an excellent ep...worthy of repeated listens....looking forward to the LP
