what i like about you over a lot of others is that you're keeping the balance between good and bad - in a positive negative way. this is expression and understanding of art in my ears, and thats the value i'm liking you for.

have you ever listened to this one Accelera Deck track where you think your ears burst and bleed ? i think its on narcotic beats, but i'm not sure... could also be on the thing with that halo track... i havent listened to anything of that in ages... but see... i'm remembering that sound, because it REALLY hit me when i listened to it the first time!

you should get this track there too. expand what its already about. make the first half more bleeding. don't get too melodic or stuff, just keep the elements there and go ahead of what its now.

make that tinitus feel like it never go away and make people WANT TO DROP THE TRACK, but make them also stay interested what its going into. it's not yet where it could be from what you're able to do!

i found the whole piece to be somewhat forced and bland.

either make it mellower or make it harsher - resist the middle ground pussy noise

i just felt that it was being noise for noise sake and that it was restrained, you could have really cut loose and totally fucked people right up with the tones but it seems like you're doing a 'noise by numbers, lets be outrageous' track when you could really be pushing it hard and setting fire to the sky with it.

This is certainly more interesting than your other track, almost an entirely different proposition. It at least sounds more passionate and evolves towards the end, I think if you had reduced the level of the feedback type drone in the first half and brought the clattery beat thing to the front of the mix a bit more, it would be more successful IMO. But overall, make it LOUDER. The beat sounded interesting, very tribal and weird and I wanted to hear it less obscured. Better track.

i like the stick drumming sound of the sample, and the way the noise in teh background make it sound like it's kind of whisking itself into a froth

it would be cooler if that pad you are holding out were a horn or a reed instrument of some sort rather than another distorted synth. it would contrast against the rest of the distorted sounds in a nice way. but the feedback overtones you get are great

it would also be cool to hear like a constant quarter-note Native American drum being beat in time to the rhythm loop -- THUMP, THUMP, THUMP ...

the sounds in the late four minutes mark are really cool, the kind of chime-like synths?

maybe condense it some and focus on teh cool vocal samples too, i enjoyed listening to those with the crazy noises in teh background

Good to hear you went back and worked on this, what a difference! You really pulled the beat forward and I can now hear all sorts of interesting flanging going on in it, makes for a more atmospheric environment and the feedback drone isn't as distracting anymore, as it's meshed more into the layers which I was hoping to hear. Overall, the balance is now there and it sits as a more considered interesting piece. Nice one.

I actually thought of doing that encey, maybe I should spemd a bit more time on this, not sure if I want to though....

Np man. It really is a lot better. Tracks are always like this, they either work 1st time off the bat or need that extra polish and it's always fascinating to be able to hear an artists progression with a track on a public message board. At the end of the day, expect to have a shit load of outtakes. It's also invaluable for every artist to be able to absorb different idea's from these reworks, I learn stuff all the time from hearing these ongoing track mods.
