"No Outlet"

This is a track me an' my boys put together. I produced the beat (except the drums) and I am the second of the two MCs that you hear on the track.

I've been thinking of tinkering with the vocals to make them sound beefier but I'm not really sure if it needs it.

not a huge fan of 'rap' but this was reasonable.

The beat is neat. All mcs should records their back vocals, it is essential for rap, I also didn't like your flows, you gotta work on it. But all in all I think it's good and I will listen to it again.

Nerd rap, emo rap...whatever people wanna call it. We call it alternative rap. We feel like it's a natural extension of De La Soul and Tribe shit, but run through an angry suburban Jew filter.

I bet you all recognize a sample or two from in there.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. This is my first shot at recording a rap track and all in all I feel like it's successful.

Any more ideas on what needs work/what you like about it would be much appreciated.

A rap about feeling nothingness except the rhythm...your music should take the stage as much as your rap does. You want to tell us these things but you're so busy making the point with words when you've got a perfectly good song floating around back there.

Work with your poison and it will turn into milk (: After all, most of the music is being played backwards.

I hope you didn't find this insulting, I really like your rap, very clever lines. Just needs to get that whole flow of music working together.

well thank you, I'm really proud of the beat. I have to sort of work with the vocals a bit more, honestly. they don't have the fire they should have, they way they're recorded.

I'm a perfectionist and this was a sort of balls-out, go-for-it session. I was a bit critical of it, but I'm glad it's not just me, that I really do need to work with it a little more.
