NOT DRUM N BASS

Still no quantization on drums, each hit done by hand, bleh, this shit takes forever, its jazz this time.

Like the crackle, dig the snare sound a bunch and the loose yet tight feel of the drums. Could see maybe a well placed vocal sample in here to propel the song, but thats just me.

Reminds me alot of Gotan Project which isn't a bad thing. I agree that some vocal wouldn't go a miss. Maybe a sultry female.

It's impressive that you just tapped out the drum pattern. Pretty damn tight considering. I wouldn't bother with the quantizing. Nice assortment of samples. Sounds classy indeed.

i swore off quantization a few weeks ago.

drum n bass = andy c, dj hype, aphrodite etc - have a listen to some and then you'll see why this isn't drum n bass.

anyway - yeah, i agree with pretty much everything people have said - nice tight drums (but i'd still quantize if it was me), good production etc...pretty nice man!

i like the folk aspect of it, maybe you would develop that a bit more in this or other tracks
