Intangible

This one's kind of a 180 from that last track I posted. Most of the "synths" are made from bowed guitars, contrabass, and human voice.

I did one similar to this maybe a month ago which I didn't post... I think this one may be the stronger of the two, but I have a bit of a bias having just completed it.

Not a huge fan of the glitchy stuff, maybe because it isnt incorporated into anything but the percussion, but the melodies are nice. Reminds me of Lexaunculpt, kind of.

Yeah, I decided to hold off on the synth glitches. I didn't think it needed it this time around, though I did think about it. Usually I go full out with the glitch, but I thought I'd keep this one "nice".

I have not heard Lexaunculpt... probably won't remember the name unfortunately.

Oh shit, dag, if you need i can send you some tracks or something to help you remember. You really need to get Blurring of Trees, as should anyone who decides to dabble in glitch. Has been trying not to wonder (or whatever it is) is probably the best "glitch" song ever made, and I think i read somewhere that he was 18 when he made that album.

I'm checking him out on Bleep right now, and I likes what I hear. At points it reminds me of both Richard Devine and Autechre, except more melodic than either of those artists. I actually like a few of the other songs of his I've previewed better than the one you mentioned. Good stuff.

The track hits epic status at like 5:50 when the beat comes back in, I used to jam this in the car with the subs.

Well I think with this one I was trying to let the melody and emotional tone carry it rather than rely on flashy production trickery. If it were to go on an album I'd probably place it after a really intense track to let the listener unwind, or maybe even use it as a closer.

I like it. Quite electronic music.

It is actully avatar. Really don't know why they're called avatars though...

Yeah I suppose that works. Our forum messages are our physical representations to the interworld.

I showed this track to my girlfriend tonight and she thought the other similar track was a lot more interesting. Ditto for the other three new tracks I showed her. Hmmm, perhaps I'm not the best at picking which tracks I show off here.
