Really great. This, and isumber's photos, are two good reasons why the BoC subforum doesn't deserve to be euthanized.

After this I listened to geogaddi and I didn't like it, I was quite vomitting at some tracks, I realized they were too crazy for my ears, they took too much acid to play music I stupidly thought (cliché of psyché music) But I knew this album was a kind of big forest where I just wasn't able to go inside.

I was in US tjis summer, and eat in KFC. FUCK That's the worst thing i've ever eaten. The flesh simply doesn't cleave to the bones. Battery ferming. And then, foie gras is banned from NY state, because it's considered as ill-treat. IT'S NOT. KFC is tourist ill-treat. YOU POISONERS! Two hours after being to KFC, i stopped in a amsih little town barf all that KFC shit out. Nice work!

So i hope this woman is not like kfc chicken, otherwise she'll be pulled to pieces.

  I AM YOU said:
i love the fact that a boc video is perfectly executed by editing old footage from obscure films

hell even they did it for their only video

i likey

Good point, and I agree with you completely.

With Dayvan Cowboy, the fact that the footage was old and slightly distorted made it seem less connected with time and more about humans being in this expanse of a universe.

(Letting gravity throw yourself towards earth + flowing/building up guitar layering = perfect match for the beginning of Dayvan Cowboy).

Because a lot of films from the 60s have a timeless quality to them (due to a lot of spontaneous experimenting with film back then), BOC is the perfect match as a soundtrack, while at the same time taking the meaning of a film further through the use of heavy melodies to evoke strong emotion which would be otherwise unfathomable if it were just the film as itself.

Now look, you made me rant.

Oh, and thanks for the comment on my video!

Hey, you didn't post a link to this other one of yours - this is just as good or better!

I wish BoC's official videos were as thoughtful.

I wasn't so enamored of 'Heard From Telegraph Lines', because of the literal visual references to the song title (just a personal thing). I couldn't really find any fault with the Olson piece though. Any plans to do more BoC just yet?

Nicely done. I especially liked the bit with the telephone wire, as you start off just looking at a seemingly abstract pattern of lines before you realize what you're looking at.

I felt the same way, It reminded me of being a kid with my head against the car window on long trips. Great video, I disagree with the sliding pictures stuff, I liked all of it, if anything the bicycle part reminded me of the Plaid - New Family video.

A compliment that I'd agree with. Although unlike the Plaid video, I wouldn't have recognised the source of the footage, which was very well chosen.

Hmm, I have not thought of making more.

If I have some more time for finding footage, I'll make some more for you guys.

Thanks for the feedback, everyone. All of it has been very helpful.

what's the source of the new family footage? (love that video)

When I first saw the 'New Family' I thought I recognised the footage of the cyclists in the crosshairs from the film Two-Minute Warning, which it says here as well. I may well be mistaken myself though, as it's a long time since I last saw that film.

This is good, but I like the "Heard from the telegraph lines" better. That one was amazing.

Thanks, Larry. For this video, I put a little more work into connecting the ideas together.

I just wish I could find more footage like the power line clip!

is the footage archive.org stuff? if not, where did you get it?
