IEP ALBUM !

i just released a 3" cd on Cuthands Records, and since i know that some of you here like this kind of noisy electro-acoustic drone things, i might as well give some heads up, here's the press release:

Another Dutch talent in the Cut Hands stable that I’m very proud of. Dude built a synth into an old Soviet geiger counter, check this picture, I wouldn’t mind having that on my coffee table! Krkkl moves like a thick mudslide stuffed with mutated synths, sheets of metal being stroked, brushes of cello, shortwave transmissions that get massively interrupted by swirling effects and even some algorhythmic programming type stuff. Serious mindfuck potential. Jacobs manages to piece it all together into a cohesive and extremely overwhelming 24 minutes. A definite highlight in the current Dutch noise scene. Edition of 40 copies, in tiny polyvinyl sleeves with shady artwerk by Bas van Huizen.

i'm kinda disappointed given your obvious musical and production knowledge that this is a drone record.

i don't especially enjoy drone in general.

who knows, this might be great, but i like a hook or a melody or a fat chord progression that makes me happy and sad at the same time.

still, different layers, different bears. good on ya for releasing.

oh cuthands, the guy who runs this label is pretty cool..he posts on atease music forum occasionally, goes by the name "for real"

oh they have some machinefabriek release on that label as well? i love those little cottage industry noise labels... even though probably 99% of it is garbage.

 

the covers aren't that bad i don't think... at least he didn't put that ye olde black metal font on them like some of the others.

The cover is actually a still from one of my videos which the guy from the record label accidentally printed in black & white.
