Guest splagawaga
i finally got round to recording some of my own drum loops. having borrowed my friends ride, crash and picallo snare ive spent the last 24 hours deafening myself recording every conceivable variation of tone, rhythm and kit combinations. anyways, this is the tune that resulted. Guest yan_g
congrats! not fond of the chord sequence but the transitions are excellent. reminds of photek with more variation. Guest Promo
Mmm nice and very funky. I agree that the chord sequence is perhaps a little dull but no fuck it I quite like it. This has the funk in Luke Vibert kinda way ... congrats. Definitely a keeper ... no question!! I think once you crack it and make some really killer funkage on top of your beats you'll be unstopable. More please!!! ;) Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/25528-wagawaga-xanthan-gum-rot/#findComment-539945 Share on other sites

perunamuusi
30 secs in and i have no problem with these chords whatsoever i think they provide a perfect matress for the drums which clearly are the centre of attention well maybe they could be 1 louder the bass is very deep and warm and lush as fuck the piano at 2:11 this is a sample surely please tell me you didnt play that or program it my brain just came a litl bit at 2:27 how much of the drumming is played and how much is sequenced because some of the fills and rolls seem like they're played live - particularly around 3:10 - 3:20 if that's played then your drumming skills are rudiculosely good if it's sequenced then your programming skills are probably even better excellent work Thanks Haha Confused Sad Facepalm Burger Farnsworth Big Brain Like × Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/25528-wagawaga-xanthan-gum-rot/#findComment-561570 Share on other sites

Zephyr_Nova
Cool. I'm a fan of the whole live-instruments-performed-and-later-tweaked approach. Very jazzy mix. If anything, maybe do something more with the intro. I re-upped that Awakening track you wanted to hear to Megaupload.com: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=TDIR1TKJ I took it off the watmm server so that I could post a couple other songs.
