BOC worth seeing live?

Recommended Posts

Guest MrGerbik

So... and for those of you who are also West Coast US... at Coachella festival this year, BOC is performing. I don't really care that much about the other acts (although Roxy Music with Brian Eno is on the bill).

Who has seen BOC live? Trying to decide if I should bother...

btw, the lineup was emailed to me by a close (and reliable) friend in the media industry. The list of acts is already making it's way around otherwise, so I'm sure it will be formally announced any day.

and now that I look closer... there might be quite a few acts there I would enjoy. Portishead, Ladytron, Sigur Ros, Ween, and of course BOC and Roxy.

Well, that's the lineup according to Warner Music (internally).

If BOC are iffy with festivals, that's another deal... but at this point Warner says they are playing. And I think it's safe to say that most (if not all) of the other acts on that list are planning to perform.

I will go to see BoC and then i'll leave. it will be great. it will be completely worth it because i won't be pissed off the entire time because of the heat (it is fucking UNGODLY) and the shit accomodations.

I went a couple years ago and wanted to see all these acts but decided i was going to die from the heat so i missed a bunch. i saw radiohead, air, kraftwerk and some other crap too.. like belle and sebastien there.

i might buy my ticket now and if boc backs out i'll sell it for 400 bucks on ebay.

oh yeah my brother went with us too and he left the second day because he was gonna miss a raid on everquest

even if they were on the line up that doesnt mean they are gonna turn up

I don't see it happening, but if it does, someone should try make a good recording. Or if you notice that someone is trying to, shut up. On some of the live recordings, you can hear peoples conversations nearly all throughout. There is this mindblowingly beautiful music that sounds like it comes from some higer plane, and all I can over the top is "Dave's not here" "Where's Mark?" "Not here" "oh" "Yeah so how are you" "Dave!" "Nah, not him" "No" "Dave's not here"

Firstly, how could you be anything but silent, SPEECHLESS, if you were actually there?

And second, SSHUT UP!

I have three live recordings,

10 Years Party

ATP

and Lighthouse Party

Do any more exist, or can you get hold of these with better sound quality?

I bet if they do perform live, they have something no-one's heard before.
