how do i play music, is it just by playing beats through programs like fruuity loops or something

ninjam works real good: great sound quality and no sync issues. it supports ASIO too. and the wasabi-based client (see ninjam.org) even has MIDI-sync!

it also saves all audio in seperate tracks (either in wav or ogg format) so you can build a proper tracks out of your jams later!

and yes, it's programmed by the same guy who made winamp. quality software.

i didnt knew about that wasabi client. midi-sync was just the thing i was missing, thanks.

fuck, i'm no expert on audio hardware, and have no such ASIO device, how much do they cost?

if your soundcard is compatible you can get the kx drivers, http://kxproject.lugosoft.com/index.php?skip=1

you can get good ASIO drivers if you have onboard sound or a soundblaster or something at http://www.asio4all.com
