I am always impressed by the production of your tracks, good sir. Top notch! What do you use for mastering?

Your QY70 seems to be serving you quite well, I love the last few tracks you posted when you first got it. I was not aware that it produced sound, I had always thought it was just a cute little sequencer.

This song is great, very fun. It reminds me of playing Sega genesis back in the day (although the song doesn't sound like video game music).

Bottom line, please post more music. I listen to your tracks daily.

thank you! glad you enjoyed.... for mastering i just use my ears and very fine adjustment of levels etc. like i said, the track is put together on my MR8 Mk 2 multi track which has wicked sound quality and also some preset mastering options although i didn't use any on this tune. a lot of my other tunes were made in Fruity Loops and mastered with T-Racks 24 Pro which i think is brilliant. anyway, thanks for the kind words... will post more tracks soon!

Ya I'd love hear some of your Fruity tracks. I started in Fruity like 9 years ago, so it would be cool to hear what can be done with it these days. Word to the analog recording setup. Seems like it would be a lot different to not be able to see the track as you are making it. I imagine it would change your workflow and production style too.

Nice stuff.

in my sig mate - Hot Hail's one of my personal favorites...

I don't use FLoops anymore though - I've gone over to Mac and Ableton. But I'm mainly just using hardware anyway - I much prefer it actually - it's wicked not to be able to "see" what you're doing! Makes everything much more spontaneous and intuitive. Just overdub everything until you find a nice riff or drum pattern etc... well good!

cheers for listening.

So did you do the mix through a board and then just record the stereo output into the MR-8, or did you record the individual tracks at a time onto the MR-8 and do the mixdown on there? Because if I remember correctly, the MR-8 only has two inputs and no MIDI...

yeah, it only has two inputs, but it does have MIDI - i wouldn't be able to sync it all if not... anyway, i just record it one track at a time and build up the layers like that - bounce the tracks every now and again to free up more recording tracks... simple really!

nice tune BCM. I like the sequencing of the percussion, and the melody alternating it's sound > but still keeping to the same cool pattern. very cool

reminds me of when I used to have an electribe, and just jamming for ages..

yeah, this is a nice little tune... i would love to have heard a couple of notes be held a bit longer once in a while, would add some push and pull to it... might have to be another track in there, not sure how your patches respond to key presses...

yes this is a good theme for choosing a shirt for a poker game in the nude, (ok, with some nice socks on, ) the poker game is with garry neviles mate who loves eating curry after a slab of condensed poetry contest. but it's nice, has a flow of niceness, could be a darker shade of green, but it's common place these days to tune your shirt tight before going out.

sounds like a sweet little machine, i would have liked more variation. then again it's a jam...

just before the half way mark, when the high pitched high hat comes in, that was really nice.
