Odd Nosdam's "Kill Tone Two" Remix Contest!

 

In celebration of the release of Odd Nosdam's Level Live Wires, anticon is inviting you to partake in a remix contest for the song "The Kill Tone Two" featuring vocals from WHY?s Yoni Wolf and TV On The Radio's Tunde Adebimpe.

 

First, download the parts (drum, bass, harp and voices of Yoni and Tunde) here. Then, have yourself a good 'ol time blowing out and dubbin' this stuff up till you got something nice for us to hear. All finished remixes should be emailed to mrhiphop@anticon.com with the subject heading "The Kill Tone Two Remix." The deadline for all submissions is October 14.

 

The best three mixes will be announced and posted on anticon.com for free public download on October 19. Our favorite remixer will be awarded with a prize package containing Level Live Wires, five additional choice anticon CDs/LPs, and a custom package including items ranging from limited to one-of-a-kind from the audio and visual collection of all things Odd Nosdam. The two following runners up will receive a copy of Level Live Wires on CD and three other CDs from the anticon catalog of his/her choice.

Ive always looked up to Odd

yeah hes great but the parts for this are pretty boring. gotta twist them into something good but then is it a remix or a totally new track? the vocals are pretty whack too. even though i love why? his contribution isnt what it should be and the other guy is terrible. i'm a little bitch

you guys have any trouble with corrupt files? i can't seem to get them.

the track is already good as is... odd has become one of my favs as of late!

yeah the prize aint upto much but it got me creative again so i cannae complain

i sorta feel the same way. is there a place anyone knows where i can stream the totally finished track? i'm wondering if there's some other magic going on that we're not getting, because i too was a little underwhelmed by the pieces. and ditto, i usually love Why?

i think the parts are great, just kind of bland.. in the sense that i have no idea what i could do to them,. probably just take the vocals and drums and do something with that shit.

just heard the original track for he first time proper. i was wondering how the vocals fit onto the track as i couldnt make them fit on my remix. and they don't fit at all on the original. whys do maybe but not really.

not sure i'm gonna finish this remix. did anyone else finish? submit?

I made like 3 or 4 remixes but I didn't submit any of them.
